Figurative Ceramic Sculpture of Cynthia Siegel and Catherine Merrill

OPENING RECEPTION: SUNDAY, MAY 6, 2-5 PM
CLOSING RECEPTION: SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2-5 PM

Public Glass (http://www.publicglass.org) and the ACGA(Association of Clay and Glass Artists) have joined together tocreate a new exhibition series of ceramic and glass artists.  Thefirst exhibition in the series is Living Clay, featuring the figurativeceramic sculpture of Catherine Merrill of San Francisco andCynthia Siegel of Santa Cruz.

Cynthia Siegel focuses her work on the expressive possibilities of the figure, exploring how the inner workings of thought, imagination, and longing manifest externally on the figurative form.

Catherine Merrill sees her figures as canvases on which to write their stories, dreams and memories, using the visual language of the natural world.

Living Clay will run from May 2 -20, 2012.
