January Peace Initiative-Get Active, Build Peace

While January’s peace initiative isn’t actually happening until February 2, the Servas staff is gearing up now. That’s because we’ve chosen to participate in the Trinidad to Clam Beach 8.75 mile, benefiting the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship fund.

We know that being active produces endorphins which make us healthier, happier, people. That happiness spills out to our neighbors and helps create peace.

Our challenge to you is to get active with a group of Servas members in your area. Gather together, share the experience of pushing your bodies to do something challenging and be sure to let us know how it goes!

  1. I don’t think there is any better way of cultivating peace and goodwill than by meeting people of different cultures in person.
