Are you interested in traveling to El Salvador?
Check out a special program put together by U.S. Servas member Joy Pocasangre and her non-profit, Niños Estudiando El Salvador/Children Studying El Salvador…
In 1998 my husband and I began a non-profit, Niños Estudiando El Salvador/Children Studying El Salvador [www.neses.org]. We worked with teens living in orphanages in El Salvador. We realized that these children didn’t have the chance to visit their own country and learn many SERVAS concepts, so we began giving them study tours so they could explore Salvadoran beaches, museums, ancient ruins, the Assembly, universities and small businesses. Now we are able to provide scholarships to university and technical schools [back then scholarships were necessary for high school].
This year, for the 1st time, we will offer a 3*** trip for 12 adults to see the beautiful country of El Salvador and to meet some of our students [one will be a translator for us]. We are calling the trip, ‘Meaningful Travel to El Salvador’ and are partnering with a non-profit travel agency. Here is a link to the trip listing: crookedtrails.org/trips/el-salvador
Check us out. Hopefully, we will be able to go to the conference in California in June. Until then, write to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org and ask us any questions. [A copy of Ricardo’s book, ‘BREAKING HOME TIES A Salvadoran’s Journey’ will be sent after receiving the deposit].
In love and justice,
